Wallpaper rotation
Readability over the picture
How strongly the wallpaper is darkened behind the calendar and the cards. 1.00 is the value judged right on the iPad itself — a monitor and a non-retina iPad 2 do not agree about contrast, so change this in small steps and look at the wall.
Clock & calendar
Cards on the wall
The office laptop picks changes up within 10 minutes, and the wall follows within 5 minutes of that.
Add a birthday or anniversary
Paste a whole list
One per line, day first: 15-08 Ramesh birthday — the year is optional and is ignored on the wall, because these recur every year.

Upload a wallpaper
Upload the ORIGINAL, at any size — the office laptop crops and re-encodes it to the only setting this iPad plays reliably (1024×768, 30 fps, 2 Mbps). Video is far better than a still: the wall looks alive.

“Converted” means the office laptop has already turned it into the iPad-safe copy and it is on the wall. “Waiting” means it is uploaded but the next sync has not run yet.

Leave this on while the wall is being built. Once it is stable, turn it off — and turn it back on for one reproduction if something goes wrong.

What pulls from here
The office laptop reads /api/config with its device token and mirrors the result into the frame service. The iPad never contacts Cloudflare at all — iOS 9 cannot validate the certificate — so everything reaches the wall through that one pull.
